Tuling Bonded Heat Sink
Tuling manufactures bonded fin heat sinks using an assembly process of bonding a layer of thin metal fins to a base. Our thick, advanced fin structures increase thermal contact and improve heat transfer.
The thermal resistance of Tuling bonded heat sinks is as low as 0.0175° C/W. With minimal thermal loss and greater structural integrity, our heat sinks can be used in heavy-duty and vibration applications.
At Tuling, we can produce bonded fin heat sinks of round, square, rectangular or custom shapes. Typical temperature and watt ratings of our heat sinks are up to 150° C and 50W – 90W, respectively. We can influence this range by manipulating the design and material selection.
Tuling Bonded Fin Heat Sink Features

A wide range of materials and fabrication options are available.

High-density bonded heat sinks offer 50% to 60% lower thermal resistance.

Bonded fin heat sinks have 2X to 3X more cooling surface area.

Bonded fin heat sinks are lightweight, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective.
Tuling Customized Bonded Fin Heat Sink
We can produce bonded fin heat sinks of standard and customized size and shape. Dimension specification of typical bonded heat sink:
Width: up to 24 in (609 mm)
Fins Height: up to 6″
Fin Thickness: >/= 0.015’’ (0.4 mm)
Base Thickness: >/= 0.015’’ (0.4 mm
Fin Density: 100+ fins per inch
Aspect Ratio (fin gap to fin height): max. 60:1

Bonded Heat Sink Materials and Finishing
Tuling bonded fin heat sinks are made of a combination of aluminum (AL 6063-T5, AL 1100-H14) and copper metals. It improves the thermal performance of our heat sinks without increasing overall product weight.
We offer a variety of plating options, e.g., anodizing, chromating, Alodine 5200 and Acculabs 628. This conductive plating enhances the heat dissipation capabilities of our bonded heat sinks.
Tuling Bonded Fin Heat Sink Manufacturing
Here, we utilize a combination of manufacturing techniques to produce high-quality bonded fin heat sinks with precision.
- Fins are punched, stamped, or cut.
- The aluminum and copper bases can be extruded, stamped, or machined.
- CNC Machining(milling, drilling, tapping) is done to modify the heat sinks as needed for your application.
- Brazing, soldering, or high thermal conductive epoxy are used to attach the fins to the base.
- Our surface treatment facility offers a coated or non-coated finish on the heat sinks.
- After a cleaning and thorough inspection, Tuling bonded fin heat sinks finally go for packing.

Tuling Bonded Fin Heat Sink Applications
Our bonded heat sinks are ideal for vertical, heavy-duty, high-power, and densely packaged applications. A few to mention are:
- Uninterruptible power supplies
- Variable speed motor controls
- Thermoelectric Coolers/Generator
- Motor drives
- LED Lighting

Tuling is an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001-certified company. So, our bonded fin heat sinks are manufactured in a controlled and safe environment under a strict QMS. All our heat sinks are RoHS compliant and 100% thermal tested.
Tuling bonded fin heat sinks can be tailored for any mounting style: thermal adhesive attachment, mechanical fastening, spring clips, push pins, soldering, and brazing.
In Tuling folded fin heat sinks, the fins are created by folding a single metal. The fins are attached to the base using epoxy, soldering, or brazing. In Tuling bonded fin heat sinks, the fins are manufactured individually and bonded to the base. Due to the complexity, bonded heat sinks costs slightly higher but they are more efficient.
