Tuling Extruded Heatsink
Tuling extruded heat sink fins and base plates are manufactured by a single-piece extrusion. We mostly use AL 6XXX alloys for our aluminum heat sink extrusion because of their high thermal conductivity.
At Tuling, we optimize the heat sink performance by utilizing different surface enlargement geometries. The increase in the cooling surface enhances the thermal efficiency of the heat sinks.
The high fin density design enables us to achieve thermal resistance as low as 0.019 °C/W with our extruded heat sinks. Our heat sinks are lightweight, electrically isolated, and reliable for any electrical and electronic cooling applications.
Tuling Extruded Heat Sink Features

Our heat sinks can reduce hardware failures caused by overheating.

A larger surface area maximizes air cooling and heat dissipation rate.

Proper surface finishing provides protection against corrosion and wear.

Design precision makes Tuling extruded heat sinks easy to install.

Consideration Factors When Choosing Tuling Extruded Heatsinks
- Thermal Performance: A low thermal resistance can dissipate more heat. You need to optimize the thermal performance of your heat sink depending on your end need. At Tuling, we manipulate the thermal resistance by modifying the design and material selection.
- Size and Weight: Extruded heat sink dimensions are customizable. Choose a compact heat sink design that fits on any architecture without adding more weight.
- Heat Sink Extrusion Shape: Select the heat sink shape, e.g., round, rectangular, square, flat-back, flat-back with gap, hollow, double-sided, etc., according to your application profile.
- Customization: Consider customizing the surface finishing, fin designs, and other geometrical aspects to enhance your heat sink performance for specific operating conditions.
Tuling Heat Sink Extrusion Process
Highest-quality Tuling extruded heat sinks are manufactured this way:
- Heated copper or aluminum billets are pushed through a steel die using a hydraulic press. The die has our desired cross section and successfully produced the final shape.
- The cooled extruded heat sinks undergo cross-milling operations to maximize the surface area.
- We use cutting to trim off and convert the heat sinks into our desired size.
- Next, we conduct secondary operations like machining, drilling, tapping, and surface finishing to enhance the performance of our heat sinks.
- Finally, the extruded heat sinks are packed and shipped after a thorough inspection.

Tuling Extruded Heat Sink Applications
Our extruded heat sinks can be used on electronic cooling systems of any kind, including:
- Power modules
- Electrical and Electronic Devices: Set Top Box, Router, CPU, LED Electronic, CUI Devices
- Semiconductor Devices: RF power transistors and amplifiers, Rectifiers, IGBTs, Power MOSFETs, Inverter power modules, Thyristor modules, Large diodes,
- High-power resistors and electronic circuits
Industries: Renewable energy, Automotive, Medical equipment, Telecommunications, Military, Broadcast, and Factory automation
Tuling offers detailed simulations and calculations to assess our heat sink’s thermal performance under various operating conditions. We also conduct thermal resistance, thermal conductivity, and transient thermal analysis tests to estimate the efficiency of our extruded heat sinks.
Tuling extruded heat sinks are cost-effective and offer more design flexibility than bonded, folded, or cold-forged heat sinks. However, the thermal performance of extruded heat sinks suits only medium-power electronic systems.
