Reliable Nickel-plated Copper Bus Bar Manufacturer in China

Tuling Nickel-plated Copper Bus Bar

The typical solid copper bus bars have a shorter lifespan due to constant wear and corrosion. Hence, Tuling introduces nickel plating to the copper bus bars to enhance their performance and durability.

We use C110 pure copper for the nickel-plated bus bars. Moreover, we maintain the ASTM B733 standard for the nickel coating for absolute quality. The Tabular Wear Index of our plated bus bars is 16 – 20, indicating a reliable long-term connection.

Tuling Nickel Plating Specifics

We can deposit a nickel layer of 0.1 to 30 microns. We utilize electro- and electroless plating to coat the copper bus bar surface. Our upgraded surface treatment technology allows us to achieve a uniform plating tolerance of ± 0.00005 inch.

The plating hardness of our electroless coating is 45 – 51 HRC. After the heat treatment, it increases to 64 – 71 HRC.

Electroless Nickel Plating on Copper Bus Bars

Tuling Electroless Nickel Plating on Copper Bus Bars

Electroless nickel plating ensures a uniform and hard coating on the copper bar. Here’s how we perform electroless nickel plating surface treatment,

  • We remove any contamination from the copper bar surface by thoroughly cleaning it.
  • Next, we dip the bus bar in a controlled bath of nickel sulfate salt and a reducing agent.
  • A nickel layer chemically deposits on the bar surface.
  • After the plate is dried on the surface, we prepare the bus bar for further operations.

Advantages of Tuling’s Nickel-plated Copper Busbar

Our nickel-plated copper bus bars can resist corrosion caused by a high-humidity environment. The plating increases the electrical conductivity and ensures smooth power distribution to all channels.

Nickel coating also improves the solderability of the bus bars. Therefore, soldering new connections becomes easier with our nickel-plated copper bars.
