Tuling PCB Shield Can
Tuling specializes in manufacturing stamped PCB shields of customized dimensions. Our PCB shields are made of conductive materials, e.g., nickel, aluminum, etc., to minimize the EMI/RFI wave effect. We also add conductive coatings to these enclosures to enhance their effectiveness.
At Tuling, we offer design flexibility and customization options. We can manufacture different types of PCB shields, including one-piece, two-piece, multi-cavity, multiplanar, and low-profile cans.
Our engineers will optimize the surface mount and through-hole configuration of your PCB shield on your behalf.
Available PCB Shield Can Products at Tuling
These cans are economical, where frequent access to the components is not expected.

These shields are easy to install, and they ensure reliable shielding.

A flat sheet is drawn into a specific layout to fit the PCB arrangements.

These cans come with teeth that can be attached to the circuit boards.

We use small pins instead of teeth in these cans for mounting on the boards.
Tuling PCB Shield Can Features

Our PCB shields can preserve signal integrity and improve overall electronic performance.

Tuling’s PCB shield cans minimize vibration and lower the buzzing noise intensity.

Ventilation holes on the PCB enclosure ensure efficient heat dissipation and cooling.

Our PCB shields have excellent dimensional stability, mechanical properties, and rust resistance quality.
Materials Options for Tuling PCB Shield Can
We use conductive metals with conductive coatings for our PCB enclosures. Our preferred metals are,
- Aluminum
- Steel
- Stainless steel
- Nickel
- Silver
- Copper-nickel-zinc alloy
For surface plating, we recommend tin, silver, nickel, copper, and zinc coatings. The plating thickness can be controlled down to 0.2 mm.

Dimension Customization of Tuling PCB Shield Can
Here, at Tuling, we can customize the overall dimensions of the PCB shield cans. Some common PCB enclosure sizes are 47 mm × 33 mm × 3 mm, 22 mm × 23 mm × 7 mm, 45 mm × 65 mm × 2 mm, and 21 mm × 21 mm × 5 mm. Our shields are available with a wall thickness of about 0.05 mm.
PCB Shield Can Manufacturing Capabilities at Tuling
At Tuling, we utilize high-speed stamping machines and automated production lines to manufacture PCB shield cans. The stamping machine maintains continuous and stable punches up to 1000 times per minute.
We can ensure the dynamic accuracy of the stamped PCB shields. Our products have a tight tolerance of ±0.01 mm. Moreover, we have facilities for prototyping, short run, and T&R packaging.

Testings of Our PCB Shield Can
Vickers Hardness Testing: It ensures the structural integrity and longevity of the PCB enclosures. We control the measurement error of the hardness tester at ±3 degrees.
Salt Spray Testing: We test the corrosion resistance of the shields after surface treatment. With this test, we can predict the performance of the product coating under corrosive attack.
Tuling PCB Shield Can Application
Our PCB shield enclosures can fit any device with circuit boards. Some common application examples are,
- Communication device
- Medical device
- Monitoring device
- Wireless meters
- Wireless speakers
- Mobile phones and tablets
- Point of Sale (PoS) equipment
- Wearables and IoT Drones
- Game consoles
- Routers
- Virtual Reality (VR) headsets

The main goal of both the PCB and EMI shields is to minimize the negative impact of RFI and EMI waves. However, these enclosures have different use cases. For instance, a PCB shield is used only on circuit boards, whereas an electronic shield is installed to protect large devices.
We use carrier tape along with cover tape to protect the shielding enclosure from contamination. You need to peel off the cover tape during installation. We have setups to facilitate tray packaging for PCB shield cans on the client’s demand.
