Tuling Silver-plated Copper Bar
At Tuling, we use 99.99% pure copper for our bus bars. Our electrical bus bars are manufactured according to EN 13601 standards and provide a high conductivity of around 56 M/ Ωmm2.
We have a dedicated facility for coating copper bars with silver. We follow ASTM-B700 and spec AMS 2411J silver plating standards for the bars. Our silver copper busbars are NDT Level III certified and environmentally friendly.

Types of Silver Plating Services at Tuling
Our surface treatment facility has electro, electroless, and immersion silver plating equipment. We always recommend cyanide-free silver plating service to our clients instead of the traditional cyanide electrolyte coating.
This is quicker than the other surface treatments and generates less hazardous waste. Hence, cyanide-free silver-coated copper busbars are environmentally friendly.
Tuling Copper Bus Bar Silver Coating Properties
Our experienced surface engineers can ensure you a thin and uniform silver coating of 0.3 – 0.7 µm thickness. The plating is smooth and fine-grained.
Our silver-plated copper bus bars have a dense deposit with low porosity. Therefore, you can witness better soldering and bonding in the bus bars.

The typical copper bars have a length of 300 mm to 6000 mm and a width of 20 mm to 600 mm. Their thickness can be up to 20 mm.

Tuling’s silver-plated copper bus bars have a wide range of applications. They are suitable for sliding and rotating joints like primary disconnect assemblies and moving switchblades.
We can also design silver copper bars for the aerospace and defense industries. These busbars are also found in electronics, power distribution, and telecommunications.
Copper bus bars coated with silver are better than tin-plated bars in terms of conductivity, thermal performance, and appearance. Silver busbars are also highly corrosion-resistant and offer excellent durability. However, tin-coated copper bus bars are definitely cheaper and more environmentally friendly.
Typical silver copper bars can withstand temperatures up to 150°C without any efficiency loss. However, we can manipulate this limit with manufacturing factors and plating thickness.
